Wainwright Bridge at dawn

I've been meaning to get up early for several weeks now to photograph Blackburn's new Wainwright Bridge, which officially opened last summer. The bridge is an impressive addition to the Blackburn skyline, and looks even more spectacular when floodlit at night, which is why I wanted the early start.

I wanted to capture the bridge and its lighting against an inky-black early morning sky, but for several weekends now the warmth of the duvet has won over. But not today - and it was well worth the effort.

A wonderful shot! Well worth the early start. I hope you didn't park in the middle of the bridge to get the shot!?!
